“THIRTY YEARS AFTER BEIJING”: PROF. JOY EZEILO, SAN, OON, SET TO STEER KEY GENDER EQUALITY DIALOGUE AT NBA AGC 2025
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced that Prof. Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, SAN, OON (Life Bencher), one of Africa’s foremost legal scholars and women’s rights advocates, will moderate the breakout session titled “Thirty Years After Beijing” at the NBA Annual General Conference 2025. The session will take place on Monday, 25th August 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.
Prof. Ezeilo is a distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria, feminist activist, and Professor of Law, widely celebrated for her contributions to gender justice and human rights. A former Dean of Law at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, she is the founder of Women Aid Collective (WACOL) and the Tamar Sexual Assault Referral Centre. She pioneered the teaching of “Women, Children & the Law” in Nigerian academia, shaping legal education with a gendered lens.
