The Legal Profession Prays: NBA Port Harcourt Branch and CLASFON Rivers State Chapter Unite in Praise and Prayer
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch, in collaboration with the Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON), Port Harcourt Branch will today host a special Prayer and Praise Session themed “A time for Praise and Prayer”, bringing together members of the legal profession to seek divine guidance, healing, and restoration for the Bar, the Bench, and the State.
The prayer session is scheduled to hold today, Thursday, 28th December 2025, at 3:00 pm, at the Nyesom Wike Hall, NBA House, Bank Road, Port Harcourt, with provisions made for members to participate both physically and online.
Speaking on the significance of the gathering, Mrs. Cordelia Eke, Chairman NBA Port Harcourt Branch stated: “Today is a day we seek God’s face for the Bar, the Bench and the State and give thanks for the year 2025.”
In a statement issued by the Secretary of CLASFON Port Harcourt Branch, Pst. Felix Worji, members were urged to attend and unite in prayer, drawing inspiration from 2 Chronicles 7:14: “Please let us gather and pray to the Lord for the healing of our land. We reject the waves of sickness and untimely death in our Branch and commit our profession and state into God’s hands.”
This joint initiative underscores the shared belief that beyond legal advocacy and professional engagement, spiritual reflection and collective prayer remain vital to addressing challenges facing the legal community and society at large.
Members of the Bar and Bench are encouraged to participate actively, either in person or virtually, as the legal profession comes together in faith, unity, and hope for renewal.
