Leading real estate lawyer, Emeka Silas Agbara has expressed his intention to vie for the Nsukka/Igboeze-South Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2027 General |Elections.

In an statement made available to CITY LAWYER, Agbara recounted his humble beginnings and vowed to uplift his people if given a chance.

His words: “It is with this sense of gratitude and humility, that I offer myself, my experiences of 21 years of sojourn in Abuja, my knowledge of of growth and competencies, acquired through a unique grass-to-grace journey of destiny, my working and workable ideas around Business Development, Education, Entrepreneurship, Tech, Skills and Youth Empowerment etc.

“I offer all these and more, for the service of Igbo-Nsukka, at the House of Respresentatives, as a Rep of Nsukka/Igboeze-South Federal Constituency.”

Below is the full text of his address.

HOPE-HOUSE 2027; IKENGA DECLARES!
…New ideas; New possibilities!

Your Excellency, the Executive and Excellent Governor of Enugu State, Dr.Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Esq.
His Royal Highneses, Elders, Stakeholders, Senior Citizens and the youths;

My great people of Nsukka/Igboeze-South Federal Constituency and the entire Igbo-Nsukka Cultural Zone, I greet you all.

I come to you with a heart full of Love and gratitude. Love for the Land of Igbo-Nsukka that bore me and has Honoured me. Gratitude to the great people of Igbo-Nsukka who have helped and supported me from birth to this stage in life.

From my days in Onitsha as a Houseboy selling “Ice Water”, to back home in C.P.S Eha-alumona, to my winning the Nsukka Catholic Diocessan JDPC [Intelligent but Indegent Students] Scholarship and at C.H.S Umabor, most of my Teachers and guardians were from the old Nsukka Cultural Zone. Then to Lagos and when I settled in Abuja 21years ago and started life as a Taxi Driver, you have been the “hand of God” in my life.

It was the Late Engr.Edmund Ugwu from Lejja that guided me into registering my first-ever company in 2008.
It was the home of Mrs.Nwaneka Obingene from EDE-OBBALA that I passed my 1st night in Abuja; in company of Rev. Fr.Thomas Thomas Mary Nkpume of Eha-alumona and Bro.Luke Nwangwu of Ihe-Nsukka urban.

Then Mr.Jimoh Rauf Badamasi #Kuzel, whom I met driving Taxi in Abuja in 2006 is from Ibagwa. He was the one who first mentioned “Solar” to my hearing and took me in, to live in his house at Prince & Princess Estate, Abuja.

Solar later became what announced me in the Legal Profession, such that when the Lawyers In Business Institute LIBI was born, to teach, advocate and create platforms for income Diversification in the Legal Profession, I bacame the Administrator/Chairman of B.O.T. When the Nigerian Bar Association set up the NBA (National) Legal Entrepreneurship Committee, I was also appointed the Secretary; which office I occupy till date.

Back in the University of Abuja, Professor Uwakwe Abugu Esq, an Nsukka man, was positioned not just as a mentor but was also appointed by the University of Abuja, as my Class Coordinator.

I had since been called to the Nigerian Bar; a Past Exco Member of the Nigerian Bar Association Abuja Branch [Unity Bar], a past Publicity Secretary and the current Treasurer of Otu Oka-iwu [Igbo Lawyers Association] Abuja, a Council member of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a Senior Associate at M.I Dikko SAN & Associates e.t.c.

In 2023, I contested for Enugu State House of Assembly, Nsukka East, under APGA. Igbo-Nsukka supported me so massively, that I won Eha-alumona, despite the exalted positions of Eha-alumona people in the then P.D.P Government and despite the Labour Party wave of 2023.
The list is endless and I owe eternal gratitude to our people.

It is with this sense of gratitude and humility, that I offer myself, my experiences of 21 years of sojourn in Abuja, my knowledge of of growth and competencies, acquired through a unique grass-to-grace journey of destiny, my working and workable ideas around Business Development, Education, Entrepreneurship, Tech, Skills and Youth Empowerment etc.

I offer all these and more, for the service of Igbo-Nsukka, at the House of Respresentatives, as a Rep of Nsukka/Igboeze-South Federal Constituency.

The Hope-House 2027 Mandate includes:
*Innovative and Courageous Leadership/ Representation.

*Establishment of Adada Skills, Tech & Business Development Centre.

*Expansion of our Free Urban Accomodation/Skills for Youths; under Hope-House Youths Mission.[Since 2008]

*Expansion of our Loans and Grants for Start-ups and S.M.Es under The Making Millionaires Project [Since 2019].

*Empowerments, Infrastructure and Rural Development.

*Smart Farming/Agro-Biz, Employment and Youths Inclusion.

*Sabificate-To-Certificate Scheme; a blend of Entrepreneurship and Educational pursuit.

I count on your usual Love, support, guidance and prayers as we go into the electioneering proper.

We have the template, the track record and have started most of what we are promising. All that we seek is to be given Political Power as a bigger catalyst for expanding what we are already doing, in other to reach more of our people.
