The Practical Training Academy (TPTA) has announced a landmark collaboration with leading US law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP for a two-day intensive training on Entertainment Law aimed at Nigerian lawyers.

The training, which underscores the growing global relevance of Nigeria’s creative economy, will focus on critical areas including Music Rights, Financing and Monetization, Entertainment Financing, Film and Television Law. Participants will benefit from the expertise of internationally recognized facilitators including Rory Wellever and Lauren Epstein.

Over the last decade, Nigeria’s entertainment industry has experienced remarkable growth, with Afrobeats, Nollywood, and other creative sectors gaining significant international acclaim. Nigerian artists, producers, filmmakers, and entertainers continue to break global barriers, selling out arenas, securing international partnerships, and influencing mainstream culture across continents. The rapid expansion of the industry has also led to increasingly sophisticated commercial transactions involving intellectual property rights, royalties, licensing, distribution, endorsements, investments, and cross-border collaborations.
