The curtain officially rose on the 66th Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference (AGC 2026) on Sunday as thousands of lawyers, judges, diplomats, policymakers, senior advocates, academics, captains of industry and distinguished guests filled the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt, for an opening ceremony that matched the ambition of this year’s theme, “Beyond Limits.”

Delivering the Keynote Address, former President of Liberia, His Excellency George Manneh Weah, reflected on leadership, resilience and service. Drawing from his life’s journey, he encouraged lawyers to see challenges as opportunities for growth, reminding delegates that true leadership is defined by integrity, sacrifice and the positive impact one leaves on society.
