The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Nigeria Branch, has announced a panel session for its 2026 Annual Conference and Gala Night.
According to the organisers, the conference is themed “Beyond Dialogue: Delivering Excellence in Arbitration and ADR” and is scheduled to hold from 4th to 6th November, 2026 at the EUI Centre, Port Harcourt.
One of the featured sessions is titled “Users Perspective: Realities of choosing African countries as a seat for resolving intra-African and global disputes.”
Moderated by respected litigator and Chartered Arbitrator, Miannaya Aja Essien, (SAN, C.Arb), Managing Partner of Principles Law Partnership, the session will feature a jurist and some leading Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioners.
These include Prof. Kenneth Wayne Mutuma (C.Arb), Chair, CIArb Kenya Branch; Hon. Justice Lemea Ngbor (FIDRI, MCIArb, UK), Judge of the High Court of Rivers State, Nigeria; Prof. ‘Wale Olawoyin SAN, President of the Lagos Court of Arbitration, and Hon. Wilfred Danola Ikatari, Chief Executive of the Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (RCICA).
Registration is currently ongoing for the eagerly awaited Annual Conference, even as the Ciarb Nigeria Branch has invited potential conferees to register via its official portal: https://ciarbnigeria.org/conference/ . Registration can also be completed via the QR Code.
The 2026 Annual Conference and Gala Night is organized by the CIArb Nigeria Branch.
