The Nigerian Bar Association Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) has officially announced the launch of its 2026 National Training Needs Assessment Survey.
The initiative seeks comprehensive feedback from legal professionals across the nation to determine what professional development resources will make the most substantial impact on their career advancement and day-to-day legal practice.
The primary objective of the nationwide assessment is to map out a clear understanding of lawyers’ ongoing educational demands, allowing the NBA-ICLE to develop highly targeted, practical training curricula, courses, and legal clinics.
Legal professionals are encouraged to provide insights across three core parameters:
- Training Priorities: Pinpointing the exact specialized practice areas, skills, and industry sectors that will most effectively move their individual practices forward.
- Learning Formats: Evaluating preferences regarding delivery styles, specifically choosing among in-person workshops, live online webinars, self-paced learning, or pre-recorded modules.
- Professional Hurdles: Identifying the practical barriers that impede continuing education, such as cost limitations, strict timing constraints, or travel requirements.
The NBA-ICLE has designed the survey to consist of 12 quick questions that take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
