The Gabriel Adikwu Annual Lecture 2026, reputed to be the largest single gathering of Lawyers in North East Nigeria, will this year honour a retired Justice of Nigeria’s Court of Appeal, Justice Ali Andeyangtso Oho.
Meanwhile, Chief Godwin Odumu Obla SAN has been designated to deliver the Keynote Address at the eagerly awaited event. Another Keynote Address will also be delivered by Mr. Abdul Muhammed SAN, currently Chairman of the NBA Annual General Conference Planning Committee,.
While the Chief Judge of Adamawa State High Court, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman is the Chief Host for this year’s Annual Lecture, Adamawa State Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Afraimu Jingi is the Special Guest of Honour.
Retired Chief Judge of the Adamawa State High Court, Justice Nathan Musa has been designated as the Royal Father of the Day.
The Host of the event is senior lawyer and Principal Attorney at the law office of Gabriel Adikwu & Co, Mr. Gabriel Adikwu.
This year’s Annual Lecture will hold by 9 am at the Chief Judge’s Ceremonial Court Hall, High Court Justice Complex, Jimeta, Yola.
The theme for the increasingly popular Annual Lecture which is fast becoming a permanent feature in the calendar of lawyers is “Promoting Citizens Rights and Leadership Accountability: The Role of Lawyers.”
This year’s Annual Lecture promises to be intellectually engaging, considering the array of eminent jurists who have accepted to be a part of the faculty.
The Annual Lecture will also provide a platform for networking among lawyers as delegates interact with other stakeholders in the legal profession who are making great strides in their space.
Accredited by the Nigerian Bar Association Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA- ICLE), the increasingly popular Annual Lecture will hold in Yola, Adamawa State on May 16, 2026. Adikwu called on all lawyers to make plans to attend, adding that “This is one event you can’t afford to miss!”
