Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN) Annual Dinner, Awards and Investiture Holds as Chairman of its Advisory Board, Chief J-K Gadzama, SAN, Sends Goodwill Message
The Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN) held its 2025 Annual Dinner, Awards, and Investiture yesterday.
The event has already drawn high-level goodwill, including a message from the Chairman of its Advisory Board, Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, OFR, SAN, Life Bencher, C.Arb.
In a statement on the ceremony, the Learned Silk praised the Association for its consistency in promoting environmental justice, professional excellence, and stronger legal frameworks for sustainability in Nigeria.
He noted that this year’s dinner topic, “Sustainable Horizons: The Role of AI in Environmental Protection,” is timely, pointing to the growing intersection between technology and environmental governance.
He also congratulated members scheduled for their investiture, describing the honour as a recognition of their commitment to the association’s values and their contributions to environmental law practice. Award recipients were similarly commended for their work in advancing advocacy and shaping policy conversations.
The Advisory Board Chairman reaffirmed the Board’s continued support for its programmes and long-term vision.
The dinner attracted leading practitioners, policymakers, academics, and stakeholders from across the environmental sector.
