Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti is among dignitaries billed to attend the eagerly awaited 2026 End-of-Year Dinner of the influential Otu Oka-Iwu Association (Law Society), an umbrella body of Igbo lawyers worldwide.

The event is scheduled to hold at the prestigious Adetokunbo Ademola Hall of the Nigerian Law School, LagosCamous on Saturday, 5th December, 2026. It is designed as a curated evening of Dinner Speech, cultural displays and fine dining.

While Otti is designated as the Special Guest of Honour, leading monarch and Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe (Agbogidi) is the Royal Father of the Day. Meanwhile, respected lawmaker, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe is the Chairman of the Occasion.

The End-of-Year Dinner is one of the cherished traditions of the Otu, a special evening to step away from the demands of the Bar, celebrate the year that has been, and renew the bonds of friendship, fraternity and service to the profession.

In preparation for this year’s celebration, the Otu leadership has set up the 2026 End-of-Year Dinner Planning Committee, with prominent Bar Leader and Vice President of the association, Lady Nneka Chris-Asoluka as Chair.

The committee has commenced outreach to eminent members of the Bar whose leadership and goodwill have continued to strengthen the character of the association, even as several A-List stakeholders have also confirmed attendance at the exclusive event.
