LAGOS LAW FIRM HOSTS OOU BAR ASPIRANTS FROM NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL

Bar aspirants from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus were yesterday hosted to a luncheon by the Ikeja, Lagos law firm of Francis Ogunbowale & Co (Tenimasunwon Chambers).

The bar aspirants, who are currently on Court Attachment, used the opportunity to gain practical insights on law office management and lawyering skills among others.

Addressing the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Law graduates during a mentoring session, the Principal Partner, Mr. Francis Ogunbowale urged them to strive for excellence and uphold the ethics of the profession.

He advised them to be diligent and hardworking, and to “endure to serve pupilage” before setting up their own law offices.

“The CLE programme that the current NBA Executive is promoting is for the benefit of all,” said the Bar Leader, urging them to key into the programme.

He also noted the commoditization of law practice and added that “globalization of law as a business is on the ascendancy.”

According to Ogunbowale, who is also an alumna of the university, “It is only by training and retraining ourselves that we can meet up with our expected roles and client expectations.”

The bar aspirants were later feted to a luncheon by the law office.
