LAWYERS’ BANK: Committee Submits Report

The Adhoc Committee on the Acquisition of Lawyers Microfinance Bank chaired by Mr. Femi Olubanwo, a Founding Partner at Banwo & Ighodalo, yesterday submitted its report to NBA President, Mr. Abubakar Mahmoud SAN.

Present at the occasion were the three presidential candidates in the forthcoming NBA National Officers Elections now slated to hold on August 19 and 20, 2018. The event took place on the sidelines of the press conference on the elections.

Announcing the submission in an online post today, NBA Welfare Secretary, Mr. Ade Adegbite said the “special mission” which last 10 months has set the stage for the proposed microfinance bank to take its place as one of the three leading MFBs in Nigeria.

“Having been working on this special mission in the last 10 months, the Adhoc Committee on the Acquisition of Lawyers Microfinance Bank chaired by Mr. Femi Olubanwo under whom I served as the Secretary submitted yesterday its report to the NBA President.

“Our prayer is that the Lawyers Microfinance Bank shall not only become a property of the NBA, but will rank among the top three Microfinance Banks in Nigeria during the tenure of the next administration and subsequent ones.

“Kudos to all other members of the Committee namely – Chief Emeka Obegolu, Maliki K Umar, Okechukwu Unegbu and Dr. Ibrahim Abikan for their sacrifices and resourcefulness. To God be the glory.”
