NBA LAGOS BRANCH MOURNS THE PASSING OF MRS. MARIAN NNEKA JONES

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch, announces the passing of our esteemed member, Mrs. Marian Nneka Jones.

Mrs. Jones was a dedicated and committed member of the Branch who served with distinction as:
Financial Secretary and Treasurer. Throughout her years of service, she demonstrated exemplary leadership, integrity, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to the growth and welfare of the Branch.

Notably, she remained active in the service of the Branch until her passing, continuously offering her time, experience, and support whenever called upon. Her contributions to the NBA Lagos Branch remain invaluable, and her legacy of selfless service will continue to inspire generations of members.

While we will deeply miss her presence, warmth, and commitment to the Branch, we take solace in the confidence that she is resting peacefully in the bosom of the Lord.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with her. We pray that God grants her eternal rest and gives her loved ones the strength and comfort to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Details of her funeral arrangements will be communicated as soon as they are released by the family.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE PASSING OF OUR PIONEER CHAIRPERSON:

With deep sadness, the Executive Committee and members of FIDA Nigeria, Ikeja Branch announce the passing of our beloved Pioneer Chairperson, Mrs. Marian Nneka Jones, today, 9th June 2026.

Mrs. Jones was a distinguished legal practitioner, visionary leader, and passionate advocate for justice and the rights of women and children. As the Branch’s Pioneer Chairperson, she laid a strong foundation for its growth and served with dedication and integrity.

Her contributions to FIDA and the legal profession will remain indelible and a lasting legacy. We celebrate her life of service and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.

We pray that the Almighty God grants her eternal rest and gives her loved ones strength during this difficult time.

Funeral and memorial arrangements will be communicated in due course.

May the soul of Mrs. Marian Nneka Jones rest in perfect peace.
