The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA–SPIDEL) has set up a Media Network to drive its engagement with media practitioners.

A notice seen by CITY LAWYER indicates that the section is inviting media practitioners to join the NBA–SPIDEL Media Network.

According to the online notice, “The Network aims to strengthen collaboration between the media and public interest law actors in order to improve the quality, depth, and frequency of media reporting on public interest and development law issues, and to promote evidence-based advocacy and policy reforms.”

NBA–SPIDEL MEDIA NETWORK REGISTRATION FORM

The Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA–SPIDEL) invites media practitioners to join the NBA–SPIDEL Media Network. The Network aims to strengthen collaboration between the media and public interest law actors in order to improve the quality, depth, and frequency of media reporting on public interest and development law issues, and to promote evidence-based advocacy and policy reforms.

Membership of the Network provides opportunities for engagement, capacity building, access to credible legal experts, and participation in SPIDEL programmes and campaigns.

NBA–SPIDEL is committed to building a strong, credible, and impact-driven Media Network. While all qualified media practitioners are encouraged to apply, priority consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate strong alignment with investigative journalism, public interest reporting, and policy-focused storytelling.
