Fiery senior lawyer and human rights advocate, PaPa Dorncklaimz Enamhe will today be conferred with the prestigious traditional title of OVARR KWI “EDHICK OKHA” by the Akan Traditional Rulers Council of Ikom in Cross River State.
A statement made available to CITY LAWYER indicates that the conferment ceremony will coincide with the official launch of a book titled “Akam leadership and conflict management: A focus on micro and macro communities in Central Cross River State, Nigeria.”
The statement notes that “This event will also feature the conferment of a Chieftaincy Title on Barrister Dorn Cklaimz Enamhe PhD, a renowned personality in the University of Calabar, Dept. of Social Works, as OVARR KWI “EDHICK OKHA” (Chief of Transparency, Integrity and Truth).”
The conferment ceremony will hold today by 1 pm at Government Secondary School, Akam, Cross River State.
Commending Enamhe for his community works, the Akan Traditional Rulers Council described the honour as “well-deserved,” adding that it is “a sign of gratitude from the AKAM people.”
The council described the conferment as a “historic and epoch-making event,” adding that it is “even more memorable in the lives and times of the people of Akam Clan.”
Described as creative, resourceful, flexible, professional and a seasoned administrator, Enamhe is also seen as a visionary, challenge-driven and successful grassroot leader in both academics and community matters.
He is reputed as a passionate politician who has devoted over 20 years “to providing a stimulating environment for political matters by playing active roles in civic programs and interacting with media representatives.”
An environmentalist with interest in teaching, conflict resolution and peace building, the senior lawyer is also an educationist with a background in Agriculture, Environmental science, Law, Public Administration, Sociology, and Social Works.
A Knight of the old Order of St. John, Enamhe was until recently the Executive Secretary of the UNICAL 2026 NUGA Games. He is currently the National President of the Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators (APNM).
He has served in the government of Cross River State in different capacities, first as former Chief of Staff to Chief John Okpa, then Deputy Governor to Governor Donald Duke. He was Special Assistant on Youth Matters to Governor Liyel Imoke; Senior Special Assistant on Communication and Branding to Governor Ben Ayade in his first term, and currently Special Adviser to Governor Umoh Eno on New Media.
Papa DC Enamhe is also rated as a unionist par excellence who has served Student Union governments in different capacities. He was the First President of NACRISS Worldwide; former President of NAACP; former Students Representative Council President, Nigerian Law School, Abuja; former President of NANCRISS Worldwide; former NAOS President; Foundation Member of PDP; Convener/Secretary of Governor Duke’s Inauguration Committee; Member, President Musa Yar’Adua’s Inauguration Committee, and Member, PDP Presidential Campaign Council for the past 10 years.
A Lecturer in the University of Calabar, Enamhe is married to Pam and they are blessed with four children.
