The much anticipated business luncheon sponsored annually by the leading law firm of S. P. A. Ajibade & Co will hold today in Lagos.

According to a statement made available to CITY LAWYER, the event will hold at Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The statement reads:

All is set for the 2019 edition of the Annual Business Luncheon of S. P. A. Ajibade & Co. Themed: Forum for the Resolution of Civil Disputes: the Courts V the Law Enforcement Agencies, the Business Luncheon which is the 12th in its series, will feature seasoned experts in law practice and law enforcement.

According to Dr. Babatunde Ajibade, SAN, Managing Partner of the firm, the Annual Business Luncheon which has been hosted since 2008 was inspired by the need to give back to the legal profession, as part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility.

Explaining its relevance to the legal sphere in Nigeria, Dr. Ajibade said “Over the years, the themes of the Business Luncheons, just like the forthcoming one have been focused on aspects of the legal profession which are topical, give course for concern and require discussion. Members of the firm are passionate about the legal profession and hope to see it regain its pride of place among professions.”

The event which will see a gathering of legal practitioners from around the country will be chaired by Honourable Justice Amina Augie, JSC, with the keynote address to be delivered by Mr. Olasupo Sashore, SAN, former Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice in Lagos State. On the panel of discussion, Honourable Justice Biobele A. Georgwill, JCA, Mr. Omoyemi Akangbe, Chairman NBA Lagos branch and Mr. Fatai Owoseni, former Commissioner of Police,
Lagos state will deliberate on the appropriate forum for resolving civil disputes.
