The formal handing-over ceremony marking the transition of leadership at the Nigerian Law School successfully held on Monday, 12 January 2026, at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Law School, Abuja.
Dr. Olugbemisola Titilayo Odusote formally assumed office as the 10th Director General, who took over from Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN.
In his handover remarks, the out-going DG expressed his appreciation to the Management and staff of the Nigerian Law School for their cooperation and support, which contributed significantly to the success of his administration.
He noted strong confidence in the capacity and leadership qualities of his successor, affirming that there is no doubt Dr. Odusote would pilot the affairs of the Nigerian Law School to even greater heights. He assured her of his readiness to offer support, advice, and guidance whenever called upon, in the overall interest of the institution.

A formal and symbolic handing over of documents and responsibilities was conducted, officially transferring leadership to the new Director General.
In her acceptance remarks, Odusote gave all glory to God Almighty for His grace and guidance, she warmly congratulated her predecessor, Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, on his impactful leadership and remarkable achievements during his tenure, describing his administration as one that laid a solid foundation for growth and excellence.
She expressed deep appreciation for his mentorship, guidance, and support, as well as the cooperation of the Management and staff of the Nigerian Law School, pledged to uphold the noble ideals, standards, and traditions of the Nigerian Law School, while committing herself to giving her very best in advancing the mandate of the Council of Legal Education and consolidating on existing achievements.

The Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration Ms. A. O. Osho, delivered the closing remarks on behalf of the Management and staff of the Nigerian Law school, she expressed heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing Director General for his exemplary leadership, dedication, and selfless service to the Nigerian Law School, noting that he would be greatly missed. She also congratulated the new Director General and assured her of the full support and cooperation of the Council and Management in the discharge of her duties.

Following the formal ceremony, the outgoing Director General, Prof. Isa chiroma led the new Director General on a guided tour of key facilities and ongoing projects within the Nigerian Law School Headquarters.
