The Judges’ Performance Evaluation Committee of the National Judicial Council (NJC), chaired by HRH Hon. Justice Bage Muhammad I, has once again praised Hon. Justice Nelson Ogbuanya of the National Industrial Court for outstanding performance in the 1st and 2nd Quarters of the 2024 Assessment of Return of Cases by Judges of Superior Courts of Record in Nigeria.
The Committee’s primary aim is to strengthen judicial performance by continuously monitoring, evaluating, and promoting accountability among judicial officers, ensuring courts operate efficiently and effectively.
In two separate letters of commendation dated 7th July 2025, addressed to Justice Ogbuanya via the Office of the President of the Industrial Court and signed by the NJC Committee’s Secretary, Abdullahi Tafarki, Esq., the Committee lauded Justice Ogbuanya for delivering 25 judgments in the 1st Quarter and 27 judgments in the 2nd Quarter of 2024. The letters encouraged him to maintain this remarkable performance.
Justice Ogbuanya’s consistent excellence is not new. The Committee had previously commended him in November 2023 for delivering 28 judgments in the 2nd Quarter of the 2022 assessment year.
Recognized as one of the court’s shining stars, the National Industrial Court celebrates Justice Ogbuanya for his dedication, hard work, and extraordinary contribution to the development of justice in Nigeria.
