THE CORDELIA WE KNOW!

In 2015, at the NBA Annual General Conference in Abuja, I had registered to be a member of African Women Lawyers Association, an act that would change the trajectory of my legal career. In 2016, I met the beautiful CORDELIA EKE whilst planning the inauguration of the Rivers Branch of AWLA, and she immediately took on the role of being my Mentor, Friend and Big Sister!

As Secretary of the NBA PH Branch, She nominated me for the ICMC training sponsored by the Branch, that singular act began my journey as an ADR SPECIALIST. She saw my interest in mediation and encouraged me by introducing me to the relevant persons nationally and assigned matters to me to enhance my skills.

She also made sure I took the Fellowship and Training of Trainers course of ICMC as her coursemate, an act that is rare amongst senior lawyers these days.

Today I stand as an Internationally certified Mediator, I have mediated with world leaders in several continents, facilitated training of countless mediators, and held several Leadership positions in ICMC because CUE saw in me what I didn’t see in myself.

She will no doubt lead the Bar to a greater height.
