We Completed and Commissioned the NBA Secretariat Without Borrowing or Tasking Lawyers: Afam Osigwe, SAN, Assures Lawyers in Enugu of Prudence with NBA Funds
At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu Branch, Afam Osigwe, SAN, delivered an inspiring message that resonated deeply with all members present. He assured members that, if elected President of the Nigerian Bar Association, he would ensure the prudential use of NBA funds, drawing from his extensive experience and proven track record of financial stewardship.
Afam Osigwe, SAN, highlighted a significant achievement during his tenure as General Secretary under the Augustine Alegeh Administration: the completion of the NBA National Secretariat. This monumental project was completed and commissioned without resorting to borrowing or imposing levies on lawyers. This accomplishment stands as a testament to the careful planning, resourceful execution, and unwavering commitment to financial prudence that characterized their administration.
During his address, Afam Osigwe, SAN, emphasized his commitment to the careful and responsible management of NBA funds. He assured members that, with his knowledge and understanding of the secretariat’s operations, every part of the NBA National Secretariat would be utilized effectively to generate income for lawyers and support the association’s activities.
