The Forum of Branch Chairmen of the NBA Akwa Ibom State comprising Uyo, Eket, Ikot Ekpene and Oron Branches endorse Blessing Udofa-Poromon, Esq. as Sole Candidate for the Position of National Treasurer of the NBA.

In a meeting of the four branch Chairmen of the four branches making up the Akwa Ibom State NBA, held at the Permanent Secretariat of the NBA Uyo Branch, the Chairmen in unanimous decision resolved to adopt the candidature of Mrs. Blessing Udofa-Poromon as Sole Candidate for the Position of National Treasurer of the NBA.

The resolve of the Chairmen was founded on the stellar track records of Mrs. Poromon in her outstanding, visionary and consistent partisanship in the affairs of the NBA both at the National and Branch levels, where she has held several positions and performed creditably well. With her reputable credentials, Blessing has been considered by the forum of Chairmen as a credible and resourceful National Asset to the NBA, suitable to man the office of National Treasurer, and bring to bear her innovative experiences and additions to boost the needs of the office.

The Forum of Branch Chairmen appreciates the important facts that:

Blessing Udofa-Poromon, LLM has banking experience; She has been NBA NEC Member for getting to four years, so she understands the workings of the NBA at the national level.

Blessing has most recently been involved with local and international NGOs, where she has been trained and exposed to vast knowledge and hands-on experience in global best practices, as they relate to human resources and financial management for targeted and measurable growth deliverables.

She is the current Secretary of Law Officers Association of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State, where her innovative ideas have transformed the way the Secretariat operates. She has served the NBA as member of many national committees (standing and ad hoc). She is an active member of the Eastern Bar Forum and past Welfare Secretary of the NBA Uyo Branch.

The Forum therefore calls on all members of the four branches to adopt Blessing as Sole Candidate for the position of National Treasurer of the NBA in the coming elections of 20th July 2024.
