AFAM OSIGWE LEADS SPIDEL CONFEREES TO CUBANA GIG TODAY
The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference Planning Committee (NBA-AGCPC), Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN will today lead conferees at the NBA Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) Annual Conference to party at the vintage Cubana Hut & Grill in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
Sponsored by the Bar Leader, the party is one of the sideline events at the ongoing Annual Conference which kicked off with cocktails by the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba.
The former NBA General Secretary is also the sponsor of the “Health Walk” which precedes the Opening Ceremony of the Annual Conference on Wednesday, with the take-off point as NBA Ikeja Branch House.
A member of the popular Cubana Group, Cubana Hut & Grill is strategically located in the high-brow Isaac John Street, Ikeja, GRA. The event kicks off at 7 pm.
CITY LAWYER gathered that Osigwe is also listed as one of the Speakers at the Annual Conference. He will be speaking on the sub-theme, “Public interest protection and the place of ethical values in the temple of justice.” Aside from retired Justice Kate Abiri, former Bayelsa State Chief Judge, who will chair the technical session, other panelists include the immediate past Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN; Mr. Austin Chiefo Ejiofobiri, Founder, ACE Foundation/Living By Design; Ms. Janet Gbam of the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria; Dr. Idachaba Ajogwu of the Faculty of Law, Kogi State University, and Mr. Benson Iwuagwu, Executive Director, Prison Fellowship Nigeria (PFN). The session commences at 3:30 pm as one of the sessions that trail the eagerly awaited Opening Ceremony.
