GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM EDE ASENOGUAN TO INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF WOMEN LAWYERS, BADAGRY BRANCH ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR MAIDEN LAW WEEK CELEBRATION

The distinguished Chairperson, Executives and Members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Badary branch,

It gives me great pleasure to be part of your maiden Law Week themed: “Insecurity and its Impact on Women and Children”. I wish to commend you on two fronts.

Firstly, it is always noble and courageous to kickstart a program or project with a view to sustaining same. To this end, I am duty bound to salute you for this maiden Law Week program. Going by your antecedents, I am in no doubt that you shall continue this program seamlessly on an annual basis. I am equally in no doubt that same will record greater traction and participation as the years roll by.

Secondly, I must commend you for the chosen theme, knowing full well that children and women are the most vulnerable in times of crises. We must as a matter of necessity and duty be vocal in advocating for their protection at all times. This is because they are the most integral part of the family setting. Without them society will fall apart. 

You are utilizing very judiciously your roles as mothers and lawyers in this regaard and you deserve all the accolades. Thank you for advocating for the defenseless and vulnerable.

I wish you a resourceful Law Week celebration.
