‘THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT,’ ISAAC OGBAH TELLS LAWYERS

Isaac Omuta Ogbah, 3rd Vice Presidential candidate in the July 16, 2022 NBA national elections appreciates all lawyers for their immense support given to him so far.

He appealed to all lawyers supporting him to, in the final hours left for the campaigning process, to further reach out to other lawyers within their branches, platforms and other NBA lawyers in diaspora who are qualified to vote to seek further support for him.

Mr. Ogbah further promised never to let his ever increasing supporting lawyers down in any way. He promised to never disappoint them in any way if voted in as the next 3rd Vice President of the NBA.

Mr. Isaac Ogbah states further as below:

‘I WILL BOLSTER BRANCHES, FOSTER NBA BANK, COOP SOCIETY,’ SAYS ISAAC OGBAH

9th Point on the Manifesto of Isaac Omuta Ogbah as publishes by ECNBA on its website

“I will also see to it that the various branches of the NBA are audited to ensure that each of these branches are alive to their responsibilities. And in this wise, in compliance with the NBA amended constitution, where deserving cases arises for the creation of new branches of the NBA within the various Zones, I will work with the existing branch where the new branch(es) are to be created from as well as with lawyers of such locations where the new branches are to be created from so as to ensure that both the existing and new branch or branches to be so established are strengthened and are well funded”.

So let’s support and vote Isaac Omuta Ogbah to see to it that deserving new branches of the NBA are established in the coming years.

10th Point on the Manifesto of Isaac Omuta Ogbah publishes by ECNBA on its website

“I am aware that in one of the NEC meetings held in the past it was resolved that a Micro-Finance Bank be floated by the NBA to aid lawyers, particularly lawyers that might require some financial loans that would aid their legal practice. Till date that has not come into fruition. Hence if elected as the 3rd Vice President of the NBA I will ensure that the national leadership of the NBA as well as NEC revisit this issue with a view at working out ways to see to the fruition of this NEC resolution long passed but awaiting action to be taken on it”.

Let us therefore vote Isaac Omuta Ogbah as the next 3rd Vice President so we can see the establishment of Lawyers’ Microfinance Bank for the benefit of all lawyers.

11th Point on the manifesto of Issac Omuta Ogbah publishes by ECNBA on its website.

”Lastly, it is not in doubt that various professional bodies and other Associations have well established cooperative thrift societies which their members engages in. Unfortunately NBA is yet to come up with an acceptable thrift and or cooperative society that members of this association that are willing can subscribe to. Hence in order to see to the welfare of all lawyers and members of this noble profession plans would be put in place to have a national cooperative society for lawyers where members willing can subscribe to.”

Hence let us vote for Isaac Omuta Ogbah as 3rd Vice President of NBA to see this become a reality.

‘ISAAC OGBAH IS SOCIAL ACTIVIST, VOICE OF VOICELESS,’ SAYS ADEGOKE

My name is Wale Adegoke, Esq. I am a Legal Practitioner, Chartered Arbitrator, and the current Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Bar association (NBA) and the Chairman, Human Right Committee.

Hearing about the interest of Isaac Omuta Ogbah, FICMC in contesting for the position of 3rd Vice President of the NBA, I know that the time has come for the real change to galvanize the legacies of the Olumide Akpata administration.

I have known Ogbah for a very long time precisely around 2004-2005 when we worked together as Counsel in the Law Firm of Punuka Chambers at Lake Street, Apongbon, Lagos State. His passion for law is contagious. No wonder he excelled at the interview and was hired. All through the period we were together, he performed creditably and was a model of diligence and discipline.

After his exit from the firm, he had carved numerous niche for himself including setting up of the ‘Erudite Judgements of the Supreme Court’ and publication of several legal texts including the one in intellectual property.

He is a social activist and a voice to the voiceless on critical social issues.

Subsequently, he became the Vice Chairman of the Utter Bar between the periods of 2016–2018 and served as the Chairman from 2018-2020. His administration came out to be trail blazing and standards. He launched the Utter Bar into national prominence and Bar consciousness that catapulted our Branch to the 5th position out of the 125 branches nationwide as at the time.

Isaac Omuta Ogbah, FICMC work ethics is second to none and has the unique skills of innovation, communication, relationship building and philanthropy as his great strengths which will come in handy in his role as the 3rd Vice President [when elected]. He has single handedly spearheaded public/bar related projects without expectation of rewards.

It is for these reasons and many more that I wholeheartedly endorse Isaac Omuta Ogbah for the office of the 3rd Vice President of the NBA.

This is a golden opportunity for the legal profession in Nigeria to have a genuine asset in the person of Isaac Omuta Ogbah onboard our ship who can truly walk the talk.
