‘I CELEBRATE OUR LAWYER-FATHERS TODAY,’ SAYS AMANDA ASAGBA

It gives me great pleasure to celebrate our fathers today. The occasion of Father’s Day presents us with a splendid opportunity to appreciate the God-ordained place of fathers in every family.

Fathers are known to be symbols of authority and discipline in our families and in the society at large. This is a huge task that must not be taken for granted.

It is expected that as lawyers, we should carry this role into the legal community by fostering discipline and eschewing any manner of misconduct.

We celebrate you all today and always.

Happy Father’s Day!

AMANDA ASAGBA EULOGIZES REINSTATED JUSTICE OLOYEDE

FEATURED

This is Light at the end of the tunnel. Thank God for vindicating Hon. Justice Olamide Oloyede.

With this Victory, it’s a new dawn for the Judiciary, as the light of judicial activism and radicalism has just been switched on. Welcome to a proactive and radical judicial activism!!!.

All hail Hon. Justice Olamide Oloyede!!! All hail the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA).

Hon. Justice Olamide Oluyede doubled as AWLA Oyo and Osun State Coordinator, a fearless, bold and courageous Judge who damned the consequence to fight for the people of Osun.

She spoke truth to power. This is what a Judge should be, not government puppet.

We at AWLA are very proud of my Lord.

It is recalled that the National Judicial Council (NJC) recently reinstated the fiery jurist who was sacked for writing a petition against then Governor Rauf Aregbesola, now Minister for Internal Affairs.

I WISH ALL EASTERN BAR FORUM DELEGATES JOURNEY MERCIES – AMANDA ASAGBA

WISHING ALL EASTERN BAR FORUM DELEGATES JOURNEY MERCIES

I wish to express my profound appreciation to His Excellency, the Governor of the Eastern Bar Forum and the entire members of the Forum for their warm reception at the last quarterly meeting of the Forum in Calabar.

I am especially thankful for the opportunity to speak to the esteemed audience, and for the focused and inspiring deliberations.

The theme of the meeting was quite thought-provoking. That the EBF encourages its members to take the lead in being the voice of the voiceless and to take deliberate action to checkmate impunity and injustice is very commendable. It is no longer safe to see evil and do nothing, as this is bound to consume even the unwary in the long run.

I wish all delegates and stakeholders journey mercies.
