TONYE KRUKRUBO TO DELIVER CLE ETHICS LECTURE AT NBA PH MEETING TODAY
Leading senior lawyer, Mr. Tonye Krukrubo SAN will today deliver a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) lecture at the monthly meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch.
He is billed to speak on “Lawyers and unethical practices in the profession: confronting the monster.”
The meeting holds at 1 pm at NBA House, Port Harcourt.
The pioneer female Branch Chairman of the influential branch, Cordelia Eke urged members to attend the meeting, adding that “Ethical issues are at the centre of our practice as lawyers. It must be put on the front-burner at all times, moreso as ours is a most noble profession.”
Krukrubo is a Partner in ALN Aluko & Oyebode one of Nigerias leading law firms and heads the Firm’s Port Harcourt office.
He handles complex instructions from diverse clientele and advises on commercial transactions, banking, regulatory compliance, employment law, oil and gas, law of the environment, other aspects of law practice in Nigeria.
He holds an LLM degree with a focus on International Business Law from the University of Liverpool. He has been recommended by The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East and Africa for his litigation experience. He has also been recommended by Who’s Who Legal as a lawyer with “great interpersonal skills” and “excellent expertise in the field” of Labour and Employment.
He is an avid proponent of the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA) particularly as it will affect legal practice in Africa. He is also an Arbitrator and was past chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK Nigeria Branch Port Harcourt Chapter. Past Secretary of the Section on Legal Practice of the (NBA). Past chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Branch. Currently he is the Co – Chair of the Dispute Resolution Committee of the NBA and is also currently the Chair of the NBA-SLP litigation committee.
