The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference Planning Committee, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN has commended the Law Officers Association of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom Chapter on its “LOAN Week.”

In a statement obtained by CITY LAWYER, the former NBA General Secretary noted that “The theme of this year’s event which is ‘The Rule of Law as an imperative for sustainable development: The role of law officers’ is most appropriate.”

He added that “This is particularly so considering that the nation and most states of the federation are in the process of leadership transition from one administration to another.”

Meanwhile, the Bar Leader has also felicitated with the leadership and members of NBA Barnawa Branch on their Law Week.

In another statement, he wrote: “On Monday 12th of June, 2023, I had the privilege of attending the opening ceremony for the Annual Law Week of the Nigerian Bar Association, Barnawa Branch.

“I congratulate the Chairman and Members of the Executive Council, Members of the Law Week planning committee and the entirety of our colleagues at the branch for the successful hosting of this year’s law week.”
