MULAN ANNUAL CONFAB HOLDS IN LAFIA JULY 19-23

The Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) is set to hold its 14th Annual General Conference in Lafia, the serene capital of Nasarawa State from July 19 to 23, 2023.

According to a statement signed by Ishaku M. Dikko SAN and MOHAMMED Adama FICMC, FCILG (USA), the Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Conference Planning Committee (CPC), the Annual General Conference has as its theme, “Religion, power and politics: The need for a unified polity.”

Dikko assured MULAN members that the conference “will be a memorable event,” even as he urged them to register early for the conference. On her part, MOHAMMED Adama, who is the first-ever female Secretary of MULAN-CPC, stated that “We have put everything in place to ensure a seamless registration experience for all members.”

The conference fees range from as low as N5,000 for Young Lawyers to N50,000 for Senior Advocates of Nigeria, political office holders as well as Managing Directors/CEOs of companies and organisations. To register, visit https://mulan.ng/conference2023 or www.mulan.ng.

MULAN has a mission to promote sound, religious and professional ethics amongst members, and also see to the welfare of all members and well-being of all people on the principles of Islam and Justice.

Its vision includes the following: To integrate the spirit and teachings of Islam and foster unity and cooperation among Muslim Lawyers; To inculcate the rules and ethics of the legal profession among members; To offer free legal services for the attainment of social justice in the nation for the promotion of the cause of Islam and humanity in general; To organize public enlightenment programmes through conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, publication and adverts, and To publish and distribute periodicals, magazines, books and other writings which shall enhance the process of the achievement of the Islamic religious way of life and foregoing objectives of the Association.
