YOUNG LAWYERS FORUM CHIEFTAIN ENDORSES CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA

Hon. Chidi Imoko endorses Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo Esq Candidate for the office of 2nd Vice President NBA.

Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo Esq is a 360% decree leader.

An admirable and humble team player. A digital personality whose revolutionary impact at NBA Bwari Branch as chairman made all the difference. He introduced the First Ever Automated Car Sticker and Branch I.D Card, a testament that he is a man of quality, creativity, aesthetics and dynamism to a fault among other remarkable achievements for the Branch.

As a Servant-Leader “Servant One” as he is fondly called. He revitalized the legal Aid Unit of one of the foremost churches in Nigeria where I served under him as Secretary. He made exceptional contributions in the Council of the church which earned him ordination as a “Deacon”

As selfless advocate, he has represented countless indigent persons in count and even reached out to them financially.

In his words “ keep your hope alive and never loose faith. Faith only appreciates what grace has made available and His grace is sufficient. It Is a new dawn…Let’s keep the faith”-
Democrats.

I therefore wholeheartedly endorse Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo Esq as the wise choice for the office of 2nd Vice President, NBA and humbly call on distinguished colleagues to support and massively vote for him-

‘CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA IS A CHARISMATIC SERVANT-LEADER,’ SAYS AHMED YUSUF

I hereby declare my unalloyed support for Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo (Servant Chairman) aka Democrat who’s vying for the post of 2nd Vice President of the NBA.

My official and personal relationship with Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo dates back to 2019 – 2021 when he was the Chairman of Bwari Branch and I was then the Publicity Secretary. I dare say that he is a gentleman to the core and a consummate Bar Man with class and panache.

While he was Chairman, both of us had cordial and robust relationship; he was very passionate about the Branch. He exhibited exemplary and all-inclusive leadership; his administration brought about various positive reforms that made Bwari Branch the darling branch as far as FCT is concerned.

Clement is NOT a greenhorn as far as NBA politics is concerned. I have no doubt in my mind that if given the opportunity to serve as the 2nd Vice President of the NBA, he will bring his vast experiences to play and set fantastic precedents for his successors.

Gentlemen, I present to you, the charismatic Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo as the right man for the job.

‘CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA: AN UNCOMMON ACTIVIST WITH TRACK RECORD’ – REX UZOEGBU

BY REX ONYEKACHI UZOEGBU

As the Great African Wooden Gong unendingly sounds with torrential lyrical frenzy renting the air to the delight of legal minds, we’re respectfully obliged and inclined to the standing ovation of an enigma; accomplished juggernaut, a legal icon, an uncommon Hero, Protector of the human race, former Action and unbeatable performing Chairman of NBA, Bwari, Erudite, Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo, the sui generis candidate for the position 2nd Vice President of the Prestigious Nigerian Bar Association, National Headquarters, Abuja.

I call him a fearless leader that is needed in the era we find ourselves as the true voice of the oppressed. Let us carefully with rapt attention look through the links attached herein under as excerpts of his liquid, colloidal, brilliant and brave words on the marble which positioned him as the best choice for the office of the 2nd Vice President. These various speeches have earned him an enviable repute to the entire legal community which has been published in the Nigerian dailies at various occasions in his capacity as he then was Servant Leader, Chairman, NBA Bwari Branch.

I respectfully recapture those moments: Police Brutality: Abuja Young Lawyers Pay a “thank you” visit to NBA Chairman, applaud his relentless efforts in fighting for the weak and defenceless citizens of the country. http://www.barristerng.com/police-brutality-abuja-young-lawyers-pay-thank-you-visit-to-nba-bwari-chairman-servant-1-pictures/

‘REVIEW HOSTILE LEGAL PRACTICE CLIME,’ CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA TELLS NBA-SLP CONFEREES

Mr. Chukwuemeka Clement Ugo, the sui generis Bar man, and a candidate for the office of the 2nd Vice President of Nigerian Bar Association in the forthcoming NBA National Election 16th July, 2022 felicitates with the leadership of NBA- SLP and delegates across the world for the Annual Conference 2022 with the Theme: Legal Practice in Nigeria: OUR REALITY, OUR FUTURE holding in the city of Asaba.

From the above theme , it is not doubt timely to advocate and conceptualize the stake of lawyers in the reality of our practice and the future of our profession.

The country is presently in a very precarious situation where lawyers are always harassed and intimidated by law enforcement offices for doing and or carrying out their legitimate jobs. Where lies the reality and the future of legal practice if Idam Maduabuchi Ogbonnia, a member of Bwari Branch on Friday last week could be detained at Efab Metropolis Estate , Abuja Police Station for going to enquire about the detention of his client and many more scenarios too numerous to mention across the breath and length of our branches.

But this gathering in the developing city of Asaba, the big heart city will give us, the delegates and especially legal practitioners an opportunity to interrogate the reality and future of our profession vis a vis an unhindered access to all formations of law enforcement agencies towards giving a fair hearing to arrested members of the society.

I must appreciate the rich topics lined up for discussion and I know in the end , all delegates will be glad indeed for attending this innovative NBA – SLP conference . You are welcome to Asaba and I wish every one a wonderful deliberation, and thereafter a safe return to our various destinations.

‘IN CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA YOU’LL FIND A TRUE LEADER,’ SAYS MOHAMMED

CLEMENT UGO CHUKWUEMEKA: A MAN OF IMPECCABLE CHARACTER WORTHY TO BE ENTRUSTED WITH LEADERSHIP ROLE

My first encounter with Mr. Clement was at MOHAMMED NDARANI MOHAMMED SAN & CO., SOLACE LAW CHAMBERS, ABUJA. Precisely on the 18th, Day of April, 2022. The occasion was a courtesy visit to Learned Silk, MOHAMMED NDARANI MOHAMMED SAN, principal partner of NDARANI SAN & CO SOLACE LAW CHAMBERS ABUJA.

In my wildest dreams, I thought seeing the Learned Silk will not be a walk in the park. Lo and behold, the presence of Mr. Clement demystified the whole process and eliminated the protocol that would have caused much delay.

Mr. Clement engaged us in conversation. I quickly, on behalf of my colleagues, laid bare the reasons for our visit which was to intimate the learned Silk of the resolution by the National Association of Niger State Law Students (Naniglaws) NHQ to organize a national moot competition in his honor wherein States within the North Central region of Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi and Niger will participate.

Mr. Clement Ugo Esq. played a significant role that saw to the huge success of the national moot competition.

All through the period of preparations to the event, Mr. Clement demonstrated the qualities of a leader – honesty, tolerance and selflessness.

In Mr. Clement you will find all a leader needs to propel any organisation/association.

It is my wish that people believe and entrust him with leadership position and I urge all lawyers, especially young lawyers, to support him by voting him as the next 2nd Vice President of NBA.

NATIONAL PRESIDENT, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGER STATE LAW STUDENTS (NANIGLAWS) NHQ.

CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA LAUDS EKET BAR ON LAW WEEK

FEATURED

2022 LAW WEEK: CLEMENT UGO CHUKWUEMEKA, A CLEARED CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF 2ND VICE PRESIDENT IN JULY 16, 2022 NBA NATIONAL ELECTION, FELICITATES WITH EKET BAR

A frontline bar leader and cleared candidate for the position of 2nd National Vice President in the forthcoming NBA general elections, Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka, Esq has felicitated with the leadership and members of the Eket Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association on the occasion of her 2022 Law Week.

Mr. Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka is greatly delighted to reckon with the monumental achievements of the Gloria Etim led Eket Bar Branch that has continued to be a shining star in the legal circles.

Clement Chukwuemeka notes with exhilaration that the theme of the 2022 Law Week “NIGERIAN STATE AND THE CRISIS OF GOVERNANCE: WHAT HOPE FOR 2023 AND BEYOND” is properly etched and adequately timely, considering the electioneering at hand and the need to advance competent leadership for the nation at all levels.

I urge the leadership of the branch to translate the theme of the law week towards NBA election hence the need for branches to eschew dignity and leadership, not to arrogantly and disgraceful adopting two candidates of same position with a primary aim of extorting money. Branches of NBA must look beyond 2022 – 2024 and elect competent and selfless leaders that will serve and not those that will want to recover their expenses before serving us .

Wishing the branch a blissful law week.

Mr. Chukwuemeka wishes the Eket Bar a fruitful week of inspiring activities that will leave indelible marks on the hearts of participants.

‘YOU’RE THE ODOGWU OF NBA BRANCHES,’ CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA EXTOLS NBA LAGOS

The sui generis Bar Man, Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka, a cleared candidate for the position of 2nd Vice President in the forthcoming NBA National Election Felicitate the Lagos Branch on her June Branch General meeting holding today at the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Lagos Branch no doubt remains the Odogwu Bar branch that all other branches are looking up to. As the last general meeting of the branch is held today before the NBA National Election, I join the entire Bar leaders to wish the branch a successful deliberation.

The leadership and the good members of Lagos Branch have consistently demonstrated their zest in the numerical strength of the Branch over other branches , any body that does not respect Lagos Branch and give them their deserving accolade does so to his or her peril.

It is on this premise I humbly urge the members of the Branch to humanely for the overall interest of the Bar to choose the right candidates that will salvage and consolidate on the gains of the out going leadership of NBA being led by the oracle of performance Olumide Akpata.

Lagos Bar, the odogwu of all branches, I wish the chairman, Excos and the entire members of the branch a peaceful deliberation for the overall betterment of the Bar. GOD BLESS US.

‘CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA SECURED MY RELEASE FROM FORCE HEADQUARTERS,’ SAYS LAWYER

YES! I can attest to this fact that Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka aka Democrat is a pure sui generis bar man, humane to the core, loving and selfless.

He equally demonstrated this on me when he took it upon himself on behalf of the NBA in securing my release during my travails at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

I am of the Degema (Treasure) Bar. He never knew me from Adam.

I am mobilizing strongly for him here.

‘CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA IS A SERVANT-LEADER,’ SAYS LAWYER

MR. CLEMENT UGO CHUKWUEMEKA (AKA DEMOCRATS) IS A “GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE NBA MARKET” SAYS MENTOR ORIERE, ESQ.

I met Mr. Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka, Esq. in 2020 when my brother and colleague, Mr. Benson Aigbojie, was physically assaulted by personnel of the Nigerian Police in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, while in pursuit of his professional duty as counsel to one of the Police detainees.

As soon as Mr. Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka got wind of the indecent treatment of our colleague by personnel of the Nigerian Police, kabusa Police station to be precise in Abuja, he headed straight for the Police station where this assault took place. He immediately contacted the then President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Paul Usoro, SAN. Whilst a wrong information was given as regards my brother ordeal. He deployed the totality of his arsenals in seeking the redress of Mr. Benson Aigbojie for the unprofessional conduct of the Police.

As the Chairman of the Bwari branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, he proved himself to be a servant-leader and this earned him the love, respect and admiration of members of the Bar in FCT and beyond. Ever since that time till now, he has remained a noble servant-leader and a rallying point for many members of the bar, regardless of their post call ranking. He has assisted me personally in ensuring that I excel in my practice as a courtroom advocate and in the legal profession in general. I am persuaded that Democrats as we fondly call him, is a “good product for the NBA market” and I urge all members of our noble Association (the NBA) to support his bid for the office of 2nd Vice President of the NBA in the forthcoming coming election as he contributed towards the love I have for NBA till date. Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka is indeed a sui generis undiluted Bar man.

‘CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA MADE PERSONAL SACRIFICES FOR JUSTICE DELIVERY,’ SAYS OLADAPO

I had worked with Mr Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka aka Democrat, the immediate Past Chairman NBA Bwari Branch as the Secretary of the branch and as a member of the Executive Committee.

I can attest to the fact that he is a leader imbued with the spirit of service.
He is humane, loving and selfless leader who can go extra mile for the welfare of members, non members as well. I remember his efforts in ensuring a colleague and a member of the Unity Bar who was detained and assaulted by the overzealous police officer regained his freedom..

His passion for the speedy justice administration is second to none. Mr Chukwuemeka made personal sacrifice , towards addressing the facility’s deficits in the courts within the jurisdiction. I witnessed cases where he used his personal money to fix bulbs, fans, Acs in our court rooms and the judges’ chambers from Bwari to Dutse all the way to Kubwa. He is a good Christian and peace lover. I identify with his cause.

The Sui Generis Bar leader, the Ikeja Voice in Bwari Branch of Abuja, the immediate Past chairman of NBA Bwari Branch, Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka felicitate the Ikeja Branch of NBA (Tiger Bar) over well thought out theme of the law week.

The NBA always get their voice as a pressure group from the manner and credence the Ikeja Branch gives to topical issues affecting the nation. Ikeja branch over the years have demonstrated capacity as a voice for the entire country , if they are not doing it as a branch, you must at all time see a member from the branch standing out amongst colleagues to demand for what all of us are enjoying today .

We must appreciate The chairman and his excos for their resilience in keeping to the road map led by the predecessors. Ikeja Bar having the likes of FEMI FALANA (SAN) AND Dr. MONDAY ONYEKACHI UBANI (SAM) and others, you will agree with me that The Tiger Bar remain the leading light amongst branches in area of human rights advocacy and holding government accountable to the ills of the society.

‘LAWYERS MUST LEAD QUEST FOR DEMOCRACY,’ SAYS CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA

HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY NIGERIA!!!

To sustain the fight and struggle of our fallen heroes towards making tomorrow a reality for our children, we need to speak out at all time and work the talk. The man in a man dies when he refuses to speak against tyranny.

It is only lawyers who can champion and influence this movement. It starts with every lawyer searching his or her conscience in electing Leaders in NBA that can stand the pressure of the society towards speaking truth to power.

Happy Democracy Day

HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYER, BABATUNDE JINADU EXTOLS CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA

My encounter with MR. CLEMENT UGO CHUKWUEMEKA, the chairman (as he then was) of NBA Bwari Branc and now a cleared candidate for the office of the 2nd Vice President in NBA Election 2022

As a young lawyer, I had the opportunity to handle one of the EndSars matters, precisely that of Eromosele “eromz”. Mr Chukwuemeka was already on ground at FCID Abuja before my arrival.

When I came, he welcomed me and supported me, as if we have been together for years. He bought food for Eromz and made efforts to secure his release without intending to take the glory or hijack the matter from me.

He told me to proceed with the filing of bail application while he would prepare FHR Enforcement processes. He related with me freely and encouraged me.

He doesn’t relate with colleagues based on class or age at the Bar. He is truly a DEMOCRAT(S), as he is commonly referred to.

I will not hesitate to vote for Honest and Selfless Service. CLEMENT UGO CHUKWUEMEKA exemplifies selfless service. Thank you

SIGNED: BABATUNDE JINADU, ESQ. Member Ikeja Branch . (11/06/2022)

CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA BIDS NBA-NEC DELEGATES FAREWELL FROM ILORIN

Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka (AKA DEMOCRAT) a cleared candidate for the office of 2nd Vice President of NBA warmly wish the President of NBA and all NBA NEC delegates safe journey back to their respective states from Ilorin Kwara State.

The harmony State and her gods will bear witness of far reaching decisions that took place in the serene atmosphere of Ilorin. Decisions of solace and harmonious co existence of members in branches, Various Committee reports of hope for the future survival of the Bar and the Nigerian project and many more.

The administration of Olumide Akpata no doubt have demonstrated capacity and delivered on core promises . The road map has been laid and I appreciate the NBA leadership for that.

As we appreciate this current leadership for their meritorious service to the Bar , let all qualified voters take a deep breath and think deeply before choosing the next leadership. The choice we make shall define us before the society we are meant to stand in gab for. NBA as I know , is a Presure Group . It shall be activated in full gear to consolidate the gains of Akpata led regime .

More than Ten thought provoking decisions were reached at this NEC held in Ilorin, the creation of additional branches in FCT , Abuja to solve the lingering problem manufactured by the enemies of the Bar, instituting about 8 disciplinary cases against senior lawyers of the bar, and above all institutionalizing of compulsory written contract between counsel and law-firms etc. It was indeed a good way to end a tenure . I hereby urge NEC members especially the Branch chairmen and their Excos to institutionalize peace and harmony in their branches . We can not be hosted by a state of harmony without imbibing it as a culture in our daily lives . Safe journey NEC members .

I am Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka (Democrat). It is a Democratic New Order 2022. Join the Movement.

‘WE NEED LAWYERS TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER,’ CLEMENT CHUKWUEMEKA TELLS NBA BWARI

Special Goodwill Message To My Branch, NBA Bwari Branch (Cradle Bar) On The Occasion of her Annual Law Week, 2022

There is always joy when you look back and discover that , your foundational Branch remains a key player in the Bar community.

The topic and the keynote speaker must have been chosen by the wisest men in this legal profession. I, Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka am not surprised to see the quality and caliber of discussants.

Bwari Branch, in the last Ten years has demonstrated capacity of standing amongst the oldest branches of NBA, chilling comfortably with the big boys branches in area of advocacy.

The above is demonstrated in the novel and epoch Theme chosen for this year’s law week. While lawyers are running away from condemnation , responsibility and blames, the leadership under the captainship of the pilot, Monday Adjeh refused to exonerate lawyers in the problem bedeviling the Nigeria space, hence the choice of the law week topic across the NBA community: THE STATE OF THE NATION, Where are the lawyers?

Lawyers in Nigeria have disappointed the Nigerian society; I can attribute all these to the lackadaisical approach of lawyers towards human rights abuses, exoneration of being the chief pressure group in the land and above all, reluctance in holding leaders accountable to their disrespect to rule of law and protection of life and property, not leaving out the religiosity monster amongst colleagues.

You can not be a judge of a court without firstly, being a lawyer! The Bench and the Bar must agree that lawyers have failed this nation and begin to thinker very quickly the solution and mechanisms as the way forward for Nigeria .

The sub-theme of the event can be seen as catalyst towards achieving a state of the nation where all amenities for survival abound. Can the lawyers perform optimally without first imbibing the ethics of the profession? Can we actualize a good state of the nation without proper administration of justice founded on the principle of rule of law? The absence of the above can never guarantee us the Dinner topic which is Unity In diversity ! We must act now.

The topic no doubt will keep all Nigerians, especially lawyers in a state of reclaiming our nation . We lawyers are responsible to the woes of this nation and it is high time we began in earnest to tell ourselves the truth about our responsibility as the soul of the nation. If we rise up today to say bad governance shall be over , it shall be so.

It is so because , the leaders of the nation submits to us to adjudicate on their existence . We owe the society a duty to do justice and when we begin to deliver meritorious judgement and lawyers that appear before the Judex maintains a high moral standard for the good of the nation , be rest assured the bad state of the nation shall be eroded and the new order of goodness shall be our portion moving forward .

In conclusion, I must thank the organizers and I sincerely felicitate with the NBA Bwari Branch as it holds her Law week. I appreciate the leadership for choosing a Democrat like me, Senator SHEHU SANI to be the keynote speaker. I cannot thank the Chairman enough for this wonderful topic, coming at a time where ethical value of a lawyer before the society is eroding by the day.

Lawyers must lead this discussion and reclaim our lost glory. In the next one month, lawyers shall be electing their leaders; we owe ourselves the duty to look inward and vote for the right candidates that could look the government of day in the face and speak truth to power as well as activate the pressure group mantra to salvage our nation.

May I wish the Chairman, Branch Executives and members of the Branch a successful Law Week.

Finally, I wish the members and participants a fun filled day .

God bless NBA Bwari Branch

God bless the Nigerian Bar Association

God bless Nigeria.

Clement Ugo Chukwuemeka, Esq.

Immediate Past Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, Bwari Branch, Abuja

(A cleared Aspirant for the office of the 2nd Vice President Of NBA )
